Summer Reading Essay

When: Wednesday, Sept. 3

Where: Your second hour class

What: In class second hour, you will respond to a prompt based on the book you read this summer.

Why: Your English teacher will grade this essay and it will count as a grade in that class.

Be sure to bring the following:

* The handwritten or typed reading journal or notes you kept as you read
* Notebook paper and a blue or black pen
* You may NOT use any sources downloaded from the internet. The notes you use must be your own.
* You will staple your notes to your essay.

Analysis of "How It Feels to Be Colored Me" by Zora Neale Hurston
