Read and annotate the text, as well as complete the usual assignment of a Word document for Important Reading Questions (Canvas) and answers (with textual support and citations). You must include each type of question specified on Canvas.
In the Important Reading Questions document, be sure to include the second section of Vocabulary words with definitions (at least five). These should be words you do not know or words you think some peers may find difficult.
You should also, as usual, have a Word document for the annotations. Electronic documents should be on your laptop computer, and printed-out documents should be in your binder (for the entirety of the semester--to be collected at any time). Be sure your printed-out text is readable. You have plenty of time to find a printer with ink. I will take points off any unreadable document because of poor print quality.
It is always helpful to research some biographical facts about the author (not required). Use Google.
Be sure to have the Important Reading Questions Checklist stapled to the front of that document. You will lose five points automatically if you don't. You will also lose more points if you do not fix what is indicated on the checklist.
